Service Repair Technician

Summary of Position

This position is responsible for servicing all of the trucks within the Vactor/Guzzler product line and other brands of used trucks.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Test, analyze and repair problems dealing with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, design and mechanical and perform written evaluation.
  • Inspect and identify issues with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies per drawings and verbal instructions.

  • Weld assemblies per drawings and or verbal instructions.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace and be willing to work overtime. when required, must be able to travel when required.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Work as a team member and must have good communication skills with co-workers and customers.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience with strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams and build tickets.

  • Must be able to mig weld in any position and pass a weld test, be able to use cutting torch and plasma cutter.

  • Ability to operate overhead crane, hoist, air and electric hand tools.

  • CDL required within 30 days of hiring into position

  • Good communication skills; Computer skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
