Fabricator - Vactor Manufacturing

Vactor is currently seeking a Fabricator based out of our facility in Streator, IL.

(1) Opening - Second shift - 2:00 p. m - 10:00 p. m.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Operate shear, brake, saw, roller, forklift, & overhead crane.

  • Responsible for maintaining equipment.

  • Responsible for performing and inspecting own work.

  • Maintain a clean, safe workplace.

  • Overtime commitment when needed.

This description is not all inclusive of the total functions/responsibilities that may be required by an incumbent working under this title. Incumbents are required to perform other related functions as assigned, needed and required.

Position Requirements:

Experience in operating fabrication equipment in a form shop environment. Ability to operate all machines and tools in the department. Ability to read blueprints. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to use gauges, templates, and other measuring devices to inspect production parts. Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane.

Must have a G. E. D. or a high school diploma.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
