Mechanical Assembler - 2nd and 3rd shift

Summary of Position

Vactor is currently looking for Mechanical Assemblers on 2nd shift and 3rd shift. The hours for 2nd shift are 2:00 p. m. to 10:00 p. m. with the potential for overtime at the end of the shift. The hours for 3rd shift are 10:00 p. m.-6:00 a. m. with the potential for overtime at the end of the shift. These positions will be based out of our facility in Streator, IL.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

This person will be responsible for assembling the Vactor/Guzzler brand products. This includes assembling components and sub-assemblies per drawings and verbal instructions -- electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical applications. The preferred candidate is someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and mechanical assembly background. The ability to read blue prints, electrical/hydraulic schematics, diagrams and build tickets is required.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical college courses a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics (electrical/hydraulic), and build tickets.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
